"..Later in the day, Russian Consul General Yury Popov hosted a lunch at his
home. All the delegates had a great meal and wonderful conversation. Many
thanks to the Consul General for welcoming the delegates to San Francisco!
Then, off they all went in the bus to the Fine Arts Museum, the Legion of
Honor where they all saw Rodin's "The Thinker."
Now all the guests are at their host families and will attend the Fort Ross
State Historic Park "Living History Day" where all will dress in costume and
spend the day back in the 1800's.
July 26 and 27 will be spent touring the "hands on" science museum "The
Exploratorium," the San Francisco Zoo, Sloat Garden Center where they will
learn about school garden plants, San Francisco City Hall (Many thanks to
Circe Sher in the Office of Protocol!), the New Main Library exhibit of
Russian bookplates, Wells Fargo History Museum (to see a real stage coach),
and even ride a cable car!"
